On 30 May 2025, we did a workshop at the Suleyman Demirel University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. Also being the first information meeting of the STING project, the session started with the PI: Prof. Dr. Utku KÖSE’s presentation about the progress of the project. After that, the event continued with the second part covering a wide discussion about the following questions:
(1) What might be the impact of AI on future drug research? (2) Where do the relationships between AI and mathematical modeling stand in terms of medical advances? (3) Considering the recent developments, is it possible to create a medical digital twin of a human being? (4) What other opportunities can a digital twin provide in addition to diagnosis and treatment? (5) Could AI and Digital Twin developments be a cure for cancer? (6) What risks can the Digital Twin factor pose in medicine?
Researchers from different disciplines and both undergraduate and graduate students showed interest to the event. Thanks everyone who enrolled in the action!
